A Baker Street Cookbook

Gustatory events abound in the Sherlock Holmes Canon. One indefatigable researcher had discovered 198 references to food or dining. We can confidently say that not only did Holmes and Watson have their three meals a day, they had, on the average, more than three meals per story. Accordingly, wide latitude exists in formulating epicurean meals of true 1895 canonical dimensions. The idea became reality when more than one hundred Holmes enthusiasts enjoyed a grand Sherlockian repast. The casual remark 'There ought to be a cookbook' led to the partnership of professional chef and Holmesian aficionado - Thus the present volume.

All recipes are served up with a dash of logic, a pinch of chronology, and a few grinds of research.
